Porritt School is situated in the heart of Tamatea, in Ahuriri, Napier. This year the roll begins around 280 students and ends the year with approximately 340 students. There is a basic staff entitlement of 19 teachers. For our tamariki, this means classes size averaging 23 students. We also believe in high quality support around tamariki, so have a number of skilled and experienced Learning Support staff.
We are lucky to have numerous classrooms, together with an assembly hall, a covered turf, a Discovery Space, various resource rooms, along with the administration area, three adventure playgrounds, and a 25m school pool.
